Location: Lakewood, CO (local/in-office) or full-time remote for candidates currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Travel: 10-15%.
Salary: $100K - $150K / year (based on Denver, CO labor market).

What you will do
- Lead projects as Phase Manager, handling scope, budget, task delegation, client interaction, and execution while consulting with Team Lead.
- Perform QA/QC checks on work of designers, drafters, and engineers per NEI Quality Assurance Plan.
- Review detailed physical engineering for substations and BESS, including multi-disciplinary coordination and design products like site layouts, BOMs, equipment specs.
- Prepare calculations, models, documents, cost estimates, proposals, and manage deliverables to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Train junior engineers and designers in physical design of substations and BESS facilities; provide coaching and mentoring.
- Conduct occasional field inspections, construction supervision, and stay current with codes and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Civil or Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- FE or PE licensure preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite; effective communication and interpersonal skills.
