Project Engineer, Physical (Datacenters)

Location: United States; Lakewood, Colorado for local/in-office work or full-time remote work within the United States. Hybrid or fully remote work depends on location and project needs. Travel is typically 15–25%, with periodic field engagement and possible construction supervision.

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 per year, based on the Denver, Colorado labor market.

What you will do

• Perform and review physical engineering design for electric power substations and BESS facilities, including multidisciplinary coordination.
• Lead technical execution for project scope, budgets, deliverables, deadlines, and quality under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer.
• Complete QA/QC reviews of designers', drafters', and engineers' work and verify compliance with client specifications, applicable codes, and standards.
• Prepare physical design calculations, models, layouts, equipment specifications, bills of materials, grounding plans, and conduit plans.
• Train, coach, and mentor junior engineers, designers, and other team members.
• Write technical guides and training documents and support the development of departmental technical standards.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and understanding of applicable codes and standards.
• FE or PE licensure is preferred.
