What you will do
- Interpret complex corporate action announcements and publish them accurately for clients
- Assess client impact, prepare entitlement calculations, and process payments
- Research and adjust discrepancies across depositories and handle physical certificate exchanges
- Act as SME on corporate actions, deliver customer service to internal/external stakeholders
- Participate as project lead/member/SME in projects, initiatives, audits, and process reviews
- Interact directly with clients and third parties, follow controls, and assist in procedure creation
Requirements
- Completion of Post-Secondary Education or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years in securities/brokerage, minimum 3 years in entitlements processing including tax/legal implications
- Extensive knowledge of financial transaction processing, settlements, corporate actions, income, reconciliation
- Good working knowledge of trading and operations in brokerage industry
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem resolution, and ability to manage priorities in time-sensitive environment
- Effective communication with stakeholders and proven customer service skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge and experience with Dataphile
- Completion or enrolment in Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course
