TL;DR

Principal Software Engineer (.NET/Angular/AI): Define and evolve long-term technical roadmap aligning with product and business strategy with an accent on scalable architecture, AI integration in development lifecycle, and system reliability. Focus on guiding cross-team technical direction, reducing technical debt, championing CI/CD processes, and shaping senior technical talent.

Remote within Canada only, working in Eastern Time Zone hours.

What you will do

  • Define and evolve long-term technical roadmap aligned with product and business goals.
  • Collaborate with product, design, sales, and client teams to support user needs and growth.
  • Set technical direction for scalable, secure, maintainable systems across teams.
  • Lead AI evolution in development lifecycle with patterns, guardrails, and workflows.
  • Prioritize technical debt while balancing product delivery and system health.
  • Champion CI/CD, quality strategy, design reviews, and senior talent development.

Requirements

  • 15+ years software engineering experience, 5+ years at staff/principal level in high-growth SaaS/startups.
  • Deep expertise in C#/.NET backend, TypeScript/Angular frontend, SQL/Redis, Azure systems.
  • Experience applying AI to engineering workflows to reduce toil and improve effectiveness.
  • Strong conflict management, collaboration, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bias toward simplicity, pragmatism, and staying current with technology trends.
