TL;DR

AV Technician (Meeting & Events Tech Services): End-to-end technical delivery of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events across the enterprise with an accent on platform management, live execution, and high-quality attendee experience. Focus on leading consultations, rehearsals, real-time troubleshooting under pressure, and post-event content processing.

Location: Onsite – 5 Days/Week | Boston, MA, New York, NY, and Atlanta, GA

What you will do

  • Lead customer intake, technology consultations, platform selection, and execution planning for ~400 events per year.
  • Conduct technical walk-throughs, presenter rehearsals, pre-event tech checks, and run-of-show development.
  • Launch and manage live meetings, webinars, hybrid events using Microsoft Teams and Zoom, handling settings like security, recordings, breakout rooms, polls, and Q&A.
  • Monitor events in real-time, provide incident response, and resolve issues during high-visibility executive meetings.
  • Trim, package, and deliver recorded content, generate reports, and contribute to post-event reviews.
  • Perform daily AV conference room checks for stability.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience supporting enterprise AV, virtual, or hybrid events.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom, including webinars and live events.
  • Technical experience with Cisco meeting equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead live event execution with composure under pressure and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting executive or high-visibility meetings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across audio, video, content sharing, and excellent communication/customer service skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with large-scale webcasts, all-hands, or hybrid events.
  • Familiarity with conference room AV systems (cameras, microphones, DSPs, control panels).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms and/or Zoom Rooms.
  • Understanding of AV signal flow, basic networking, and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors or third-party production partners.
  • AV certifications such as CTS (or equivalent).
