Vice President, Platform Engineering (AI & Cloud-Native): Shaping the strategic vision and roadmap for Wealth Management digital platforms with an accent on engineering standards, SRE practices, cloud-native patterns, and AI enablement. Location: MA-Boston (121 Seaport Blvd), CT-Windsor (One Orange Way), NY-Work@Home, New York NY, NY-New York (200 Park Ave 15th Floor). FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 99 licenses required or must be obtained within 120 days.
Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 USD

What you will do
- Set and enforce engineering standards, govern technology decisions via engineering council and ADRs, own technology debt remediation.
- Build quality engineering system with CI/CD gates, contract testing, performance/load testing, and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
- Establish SRE discipline including SLO/SLI, error budgets, on-call, incident response, and chaos engineering.
- Lead cloud-native practices: containerization, IaC, GitOps, secrets management, DORA metrics, FinOps.
- Advance AI adoption with LLM patterns, RAG standards, guardrails, observability in regulated context.
- Standardize security-by-design, elevate developer experience with templates and golden paths, partner with Enterprise Architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; Masterβs a plus.
- 15+ years in platform engineering, product, or technology leadership; 5+ years leading engineering organizations in B2C environments.
- Experience as horizontal leader setting standards across teams, leading distributed onshore/offshore teams.
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native (AWS/Azure), DevSecOps, APIs, event-driven systems, SRE principles, quality/reliability practices.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, LLM integration; application security in regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder alignment, communication, problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on with .NET, Java (Spring Boot), APIs/microservices, SQL/Oracle, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Wealth management knowledge: retail advice, brokerage ecosystem, platform integrations, regulatory standards (FINRA, SEC).
