TL;DR

Communications Manager (HR): Developing and executing internal and external communication strategies to enhance employer branding and employee engagement with an accent on storytelling and executive partnerships. Focus on translating corporate strategy into employee narratives, managing employer brand presence, and coaching leadership on authentic communication.

Location: Hybrid (Denver, US) — office attendance required Tuesday through Thursday

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 USD + 10% annual bonus

What you will do

  • Own DHI’s internal communications strategy, calendar, and channel mix to ensure timely and consistent messaging.
  • Partner with the CEO, CPO, and Senior Leadership Team on company-wide communications and all-hands meetings.
  • Translate major HR initiatives, such as performance management and benefits enrollment, into employee-ready narratives.
  • Define and steward the employer brand value proposition in collaboration with Marketing and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Manage external employer brand presence, including employer awards strategies and culture-related media moments.
  • Coach leadership on authentic and on-message communication for town halls and written updates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, employee communications, or employer branding.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exceptional writing skills across various formats, from executive scripts to punchy social media posts.
  • Demonstrated experience building communications programs from the ground up.
  • Comfort operating within a public company context with a focus on disclosure and message discipline.
  • Must be based in Denver, CO for a hybrid schedule (Tuesday–Thursday in office)

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting HR or People functions on program communications and change management.
  • Familiarity with employer brand platforms such as LinkedIn Life, Glassdoor, and Comparably.
  • Background in HR tech, recruiting tech, or SaaS industries.
  • Experience with intranet platforms and AI-assisted content tools.
