What you will do

• Prepare Substation drawings including Site Layout, Grading Plans, and Foundation details.
• Create structural erection, detail, and oil containment drawings.
• Develop 3D Substation models and Bills of Materials based on design criteria.
• Coordinate with physical, protection, controls, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
• Perform site visits for data gathering and incorporate vendor information into designs.
• Execute company Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes on all design packages.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Associate’s degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent technical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in substation design.
• Proficiency in Inventor 3D, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and MicroStation.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Design.
• Experience with foundation and concrete detailing, drainage, and stormwater.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of substation design techniques and the practical application of engineering science.
