Physical Substation Designer (Datacenters)

Physical Substation Designer (Datacenters): Drafting and modeling physical layouts for renewable substations and datacenters with an accent on general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination. Location: Remote or onsite in Lakewood, CO. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $31.00 - $36.00 / hour (Denver, Colorado labor market)

What you will do

• Assist in detailed design of substations and conventional generation.
• Produce physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination.
• Select hardware for appropriate applications.
• Work effectively as part of a team or independently with oversight.
• Maintain high ethical and professional standards.
• Attend training for professional advancement and follow safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Associates degree in related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of drafting, design, engineering, or related experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required.
• A strong command of the English language.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with AutoCAD 3D modeling software.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with MicroStation.
