What you will do
- Perform substation design tasks under lead engineer, including general arrangements, elevation views, site layouts, bill of materials, equipment specs, bus sizing, grounding, and conduit plans.
- Conduct QA/QC checks on work of designers, drafters, and engineers per quality assurance plan.
- Prepare bus ampacity and conduit fill calculations, review submittals for code compliance.
- Manage deliverables and deadlines for internal and client submissions.
- Coordinate with team leads, phase managers, and designers; perform occasional field inspections.
- Ensure client requirements and applicable codes/standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering preferred (Associates acceptable with relevant experience).
- 2+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
- FE licensure and pursuing PE preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
