What you will do

• Assess and underwrite enhanced annuity applications in line with business guidelines and risk frameworks.
• Gather and evaluate medical, financial, and supporting information to make accurate underwriting decisions.
• Deliver fair customer outcomes while managing financial risk and applying product, process, and systems knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to improve customer outcomes and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records in underwriting and workflow systems.
• Analyse underwriting data and contribute to process, strategy, risk-awareness, and performance improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical underwriting or a strong healthcare or medical background.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information and make sound decisions.
• Knowledge of medical risk factors and their impact on underwriting outcomes.
• Understanding of financial services, market conditions, and commercial considerations.
• Clear communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills.
• Proactive approach with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
