TL;DR
Director, Private Credit (Private Markets): Managing and developing a global private credit portfolio across direct lending, asset-backed finance, infrastructure debt, specialty finance, structured credit, and private investment-grade credit with an accent on underwriting, portfolio construction, and risk analysis. Focus on evaluating complex investment structures, building stress-testing frameworks, optimizing capital deployment, and presenting recommendations to investment committees and executive stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid position with 3 days in the office and 2 remote, based in Warren, New Jersey, New York City, or Bermuda.
Salary: $155,000–$200,000 annually, plus employee benefits.

What you will do
- Underwrite private credit investments, managers, funds, co-investments, and structured opportunities across global markets.
- Oversee portfolio monitoring, performance analysis, valuation changes, exposures, and emerging risks.
- Develop stress-testing, scenario-analysis, diversification, and portfolio-optimization frameworks.
- Build relationships with private credit managers and assess industry trends, market conditions, and relative value.
- Support private credit strategy, asset allocation, capital-efficient deployment, and evaluation of new investment structures.
- Prepare investment committee, board, regulatory, rating agency, and senior leadership materials.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of relevant investment experience, including private credit investing, underwriting, portfolio management, or credit research.
- Strong understanding of credit documentation, capital structures, cash-flow analysis, portfolio construction, and risk assessment.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong investment judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to have
- MBA, CFA, or another advanced investment credential.
- Experience with insurance-company investing and regulatory capital frameworks.
