DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States (Hybrid)

Base salary: $110,000–$140,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and containerized environments.
• Implement and maintain continuous delivery pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform, OpenTofu, Helm, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in rotating on-call duties.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on application performance and scalability.
• Apply cloud security best practices and contribute through code reviews and documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu and Helm.
• Experience with AWS core services, including ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Spacelift, or CircleCI.
• Experience with Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes, plus debugging, monitoring, and triage skills.
• Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and projects and grow into project ownership.
