Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Location: Redhill, Surrey, United Kingdom; hybrid work with three days per week in the Redhill office and two days at home

What you will do

• Lead complex software engineering projects spanning emerging technologies and high-visibility business initiatives.
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS native services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and improve uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and apply engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming and development experience with considerable DevOps experience.
• Strong AWS experience, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, and SQS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell; Terraform or AWS CloudFormation; and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, mentoring, and technical design skills.

Nice to have

• AWS certification such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
