Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - DevOps (AWS)

What you will do

• Develop and evolve core cloud infrastructure and platform systems as part of the Infrastructure team.
• Provide infrastructure and CI/CD expertise to engineering teams working on larger projects.
• Automate software builds and deployments to cloud platforms and eliminate repetitive manual operations.
• Improve monitoring and alerting to help teams operate applications and understand system behaviour.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
• Design and maintain secure, highly available, self-service infrastructure that supports end-to-end product ownership.

Requirements

• Experience in cloud infrastructure roles, primarily with AWS, in DevOps teams.
• Confident use of AWS and GCP through command-line interfaces or APIs.
• Strong experience deploying infrastructure as code with Terraform; Ansible and Packer are beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, software development lifecycles, Git, and continuous integration tools such as Harness, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of cloud-native and 12-Factor applications, plus monitoring and alerting with tools such as Graphite, StatsD, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Expertise in at least one scripting or programming language, including Python, Bash, Ruby, Node, Golang, or Java.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of L4/L7 networking, inter-VPC routing, DNS, resolver hierarchies, and HTTP APIs.
• Experience administering Kubernetes and securing cloud environments.
• Experience running Windows servers in AWS.
• Experience with continuous deployment strategies such as blue-green deployments, traffic weighting, automated regression testing, Spinnaker, CodeDeploy, Jenkins, or Harness.
