Site Lead (Wind Energy)

TL;DR

Site Lead (Wind Energy): Leading the installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines and related equipment with an accent on technical leadership and safety compliance. Focus on troubleshooting high-voltage electrical and mechanical systems and training service technicians to ensure plant reliability.

Location: Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec, Canada. Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead and train Service Technicians in component assembly, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Conduct and review safety analyses of potential electrical and mechanical hazards.
• Perform Root Cause Analyses to accurately determine the reasons for equipment failures.
• Monitor tool and spare parts inventory and maintain required documentation and records.
• Schedule and track the progress of preventative maintenance to meet established guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical school certificate, or 4+ years of directly related work experience.
• 5 years of directly related work experience in the field.
• Fluency in English is required to effectively communicate safety and job-related information.
• Ability to work in Canada without company sponsorship and ability to travel to the US for training.
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely travel to the wind farm within 45 minutes in emergencies.
• Physical ability to climb vertical ladders (100m), manipulate up to 23kg, and work in extreme weather conditions.

• Experience with SAP, J.D. Edwards, and Maximo systems.
