What you will do

• Act as a firewall SME delivering secure and reliable services across large-scale on-prem and cloud environments.
• Implement and manage enterprise firewall policies and IPSEC VPNs, primarily utilizing Check Point.
• Lead Tier 3/4 incident response, driving complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for high-severity events.
• Contribute to firewall refresh, migration, and upgrade projects from design and planning to implementation.
• Automate firewall operations using APIs, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams to design scalable, compliant security solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise firewall administration and configuration.
• SME-level expertise in at least one platform: Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Cisco Firepower.
• Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC VPNs.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, and packet analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Cisco Spine-and-Leaf architectures.
• Experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM preferred).
• Exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with supporting tools like Infoblox, Citrix, or NNMi.
• Strong automation and scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Understanding of ITIL-aligned Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
