What you will do

• Lead triage, containment, and resolution plans for electrical subsystem issues identified during assembly and end-of-line testing.
• Define and execute short-term containment actions, including rework plans and part quarantine.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to lead root cause analysis across design, process, supplier, and manufacturing domains.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements and implement permanent corrective actions (PCA).
• Support prototype builds, production trials, and engineering changes to validate fixes and improve manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to track issue health, closure rates, and recurrence.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation, or complex hardware systems within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, connectors, control units, and sensor hardware.
• Proven experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production or field environments.
• Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
• Must be able to work on-site in Hayward, CA

Nice to have

• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or EV systems.
• Familiarity with 3DX (Dassault), DELMIA, SAP ME/MII, JIRA, Confluence, SQL, or Python.
