What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual GL close, including preparing reconciliations and posting journal entries.
• Manage account reconciliations across cash, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets with audit-ready documentation.
• Partner with the offshore AP team to review work, handle escalations, and manage vendor onboarding.
• Contribute to flux analysis and support external audit PBC requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Integrate AI tools into daily close work for reconciliation matching, anomaly detection, and narrative drafting.
• Collaborate with tax, treasury, and FP&A counterparts on specific data and reporting needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on close cycle expertise.
• Strong working fluency in US GAAP at the operational level.
• Demonstrated AI-native working style, using LLMs daily for accounting tasks.
• Ability to write small scripts in Python, SQL, or Apps Script for data pulls and automation.
• High integrity, strong ownership, and clear communication skills for explaining variances to non-finance leaders.

Nice to have

• Active CPA or a strong public accounting foundation (Big 4 or national firm).
• Prior experience in SaaS or AI startup accounting.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Rillet, FloQast, BlackLine, or Ramp.
• Exposure to multi-entity international intercompany accounting or ERP migrations.
