Salary: $85,000 – $115,000

What you will do

• Build, iterate, and launch production models focused on predicting sports outcomes.
• Develop statistical modeling frameworks using xgboost, sklearn, and pytorch.
• Manage and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient and accurate data pipelines.
• Conduct rigorous backtesting of models to ensure highly accurate predictions.

Requirements

• Strong technical background in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Physics, or Economics.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to code independently of AI tools.
• Demonstrated history of sports-focused projects or novel machine learning approaches.
• Deep passion for and knowledge of the inner workings of various sports.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Experience with lower-level programming languages such as Rust, Java, or C++.
• Background in building machine learning algorithms from scratch.
• Success in open-source projects, Kaggle, Big Data Bowl, or research labs.
• Verifiable background in algorithmic origination, modeling, or trading strategies.
• Prior work experience with a professional sports team.
