What you will do

• Serve as a Network Virtualization Engineer supporting network build-out and deployments for the C2BMC Test Facility.
• Perform advanced VMware system administration, including root-cause analysis for critical problems and daily system monitoring.
• Execute vulnerability remediation and mitigations to ensure DoD compliance and reduce cybersecurity risks.
• Manage virtualization environments using SDDC Manager for patching, upgrades, and overall system maintenance.
• Configure distributed stateful firewalling, NAT, load balancing, and micro-segmentation within an NSX environment.
• Design, install, and migrate storage using VMware vSAN and transition workloads to VMware Cloud Foundation.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA) or higher.
• 10+ years of general work experience, with 7+ years of directly related experience.
• Deep technical understanding of VCF Infrastructure, including vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
• Experience with Internet Protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL) and firewall troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in technical documentation using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.

Nice to have

• VMware certifications such as VCTA, VCP-DCV, VCAP Design, VCAP Deploy, or VCDX-DCV.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA).
• Experience with Python or PowerShell programming and scripting.
• Experience with VXLAN, Juniper Apstra, VMware Aria, or RHEL Ansible.
• Degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline.
