Test Event Network Engineer (DOD)

TL;DR

Test Event Network Engineer (Networking): Supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the IRES contract with an accent on identifying, prioritizing, and resolving critical network issues. Focus on designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco and Palo Alto based LAN/WAN systems in fast-paced environments.

Location: On-site at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: $115,000 – $130,000 annually

What you will do

• Identify, prioritize, and resolve critical network issues impacting business operations.
• Design, configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco and Palo Alto based LAN/WANs.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to provide technical network solutions.
• Travel to remote locations (25-35% CONUS/OCONUS) for on-site technical setup and event support.
• Document network changes and create technical diagrams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of general full-time work experience.
• 3+ years of directly related network engineering experience.
• Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto based LAN/WAN systems.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Current CompTIA Security+ or CCNA Security certification.
• Ability to travel 25-35% of the time and maintain a current Passport.

Nice to have

• Network+, CCNA, or JNCIA certifications.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls/IPS, routing protocols, TCP/UDP, Multicast, Cisco Call Manager, and VMware.
• Experience working with BMDS or multi-component exercises.
