Product Support Engineer (Multilane, Penang): Supporting hardware engineering activities for test & measurement product lines in wireless, high speed I/O, and optical test solutions with an accent on pre-post-ramp sustaining in factory and field. Focus on troubleshooting analog/digital/RF/optical issues, optimizing test methods, and driving yield/reliability improvements.

Location: Bukit Minyak Area, onsite at Mainland Penang contract manufacturing site. Only local candidates considered, no relocation or visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot hardware issues to module/component level across analog, digital, high-speed optical, and RF.
• Identify failure patterns, analyze data, and optimize test methods/limits for quality delivery.
• Perform RF/photonics measurements like P1dB, phase noise, S-parameters, BER, eye diagrams, and optical metrics.
• Drive board/system design improvements using production knowledge and manage ECOs/deviations.
• Optimize test parameters, times, and station designs to reduce manufacturing costs.
• Monitor production status, resolve conflicts with CM, and train engineers/technicians on debug.

Requirements

• BA/BS required, MSEE preferred.
• 6-8 years in hardware/product engineering or failure analysis for RF/optical systems.
• Deep expertise in photonics & high-speed I/O test/measurement, RF/optical products.
• Experience with Wi-Fi/Cellular testers, optical/BERT/DSO/TDR systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, failure analysis, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with PCBA schematics, layouts, BOMs, and RF lab equipment (Network/Spectrum Analyzers, etc.).

Nice to have

• Prior RF/optical board design experience.
• Experience with mm-wave products or PXI test solutions.
