Salary: $136,600 - $195,300 USD

What you will do
- Provide strategic and operational oversight for the Thermomechanical Treatment Facility (TTF) and manage the operations department.
- Deliver superior environmental, health, and safety (EHS) leadership to ensure zero accidents and full permit compliance.
- Optimize boiler and turbine performance and translate business strategy into actionable operational plans and KPIs.
- Lead and develop a diverse team, including Operations and Shift Supervisors and Operating Technicians.
- Champion continuous improvement and productivity using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Manage resource planning, employee relations, and facility auditing to ensure operational discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or 10+ years of plant operations supervisory experience).
- Extensive experience in power plant operations or high-pressure boiler systems.
- Proven track record in a People Leader role with the ability to develop personnel.
- Strong safety management skills specifically within high-hazard operations.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Alexandria, VA.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US.
Nice to have
- ASME, QRO/CFO Certification.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Experience in specialty chemical plants or waste-to-energy facilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS for cost and work order administration.
