What you will do

  • Oversee the safe and compliant operation of the wind farm installation.
  • Monitor, maintain, and report on plant performance, including SCADA functions.
  • Create annual operating plans and manage the site budget.
  • Direct site contractors and staff, serving as the primary contact for issue resolution.
  • Manage relations with land owners, local authorities, and state agencies regarding environmental and contractual issues.
  • Perform switching of high voltage equipment and troubleshoot turbines at height.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in the wind industry.
  • Ability to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet and work safely in confined spaces.
  • In-depth knowledge of NERC standards and utility regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to handle objects up to 100 lbs and work in adverse climates.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.)

Nice to have

  • 4-year degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical training in wind plant operations.
  • OSHA training.
  • Proficiency in MS Project.
