Focus on monitoring via control room systems, root cause investigation of jams, and ensuring safe, efficient airport operations in a 24/7 shift environment.

Location: Dublin, Co. Dublin, Ireland (onsite, 12-hour shifts across 4-week cycle)

What you will do

  • Monitor and control baggage handling systems (BHS) via SCADA and control room software, investigate jams and stoppages.
  • Operate and maintain all airport assets in a multi-skilled team environment.
  • Deliver planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and emergency responses on BHS assets.
  • Maintain clean work areas and produce comprehensive records using CMMS for performance metrics.
  • Communicate system issues with stakeholders and utilize technologies for enhanced performance.
  • Participate in H&S initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and team upskilling.

Requirements

  • Hold a recognized Mechanical Fitting trade qualification (National Craft Certificate / Standards Based Apprenticeship)
  • Good understanding of electrical or mechanical systems design, operations, fault finding, and maintenance
  • Proficient in IT skills, Microsoft Office, and computerized maintenance systems
  • Ideally experienced in PLC, LV control systems, and SCADA
  • Hold and maintain a full, clean driving license
  • Strong work ethic, communication skills, ability to work under pressure independently and in a team
