Senior / Staff Test Automation Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for embedded automotive systems using Python and C/C++.
• Build custom HIL test benches integrating real vehicle ECUs with simulated real-time environment models.
• Develop and execute automated test suites across SIL, MIL, and HIL environments.
• Analyze test captures, isolate low-level system failures, and prepare engineering reports.
• Verify automotive communication networks and diagnostic routing, including CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, UDS, and DoIP.
• Integrate automated regression loops into Git-driven CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience for Senior or 8+ years for Staff in test automation for high-integrity embedded systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Expert proficiency in Python and Bash, with practical C knowledge for code-level debugging.
• Experience architecting or extending Python test frameworks such as Pytest or OpenHTF.
• Experience with Docker and GNU/Linux environments.
• Ability to analyze technical specifications, define automated test suites, and maintain ASPICE-compliant requirements traceability.

Nice to have

• Advanced Git knowledge and modern branch management experience.
• Deep understanding of automotive CAN, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
