TL;DR

Head of Strategy (Commercial Finance): Owning the annual strategy process end-to-end and leading strategic projects for Europe's leading rail travel platform with an accent on data-driven recommendations and multi-year planning. Focus on evaluating new markets, building financial models, scenario analysis, and influencing C-suite decisions.

Location: Hybrid in London (minimum 60% office time over 12-week period). 28-day Work from Abroad policy.

What you will do

• Own the annual strategy cycle: lead workshops, define priorities with Finance/Product/Commercial/Operations, track progress.
• Lead strategic projects: evaluate opportunities (markets/products/partnerships), build financial models, support M&A.
• Partner with Product/Marketing/Commercial/Tech teams, provide market insights.
• Create materials for C-suite/Board, support Investor Relations narrative.
• Embed strategy: own MBRs/QBRs, track North Star performance, land initiatives.

Requirements

• 3-7 years in management consulting or in-house strategy in listed/high-growth business
• Strong analytical/financial modelling skills (build from scratch).
• Structured problem-solving, strategy/planning cycle experience.
• Confidence presenting to seniors, influencing across teams.

Nice to have

• Running strategy cycle in matrixed tech org.
• MBA or equivalent.
• French, Italian, or Spanish.
• AI-driven environment experience.
