What you will do

  • Deliver monthly forecasts, performance reporting, and the annual strategic planning cycle across key financial metrics.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to explain results, project outcomes, and assess business scenarios.
  • Partner with Institutional Retirement, Investments, Risk, and Group Finance teams to influence strategic decision-making.
  • Communicate financial projections and insights clearly to stakeholders in written and verbal formats.
  • Provide financial expertise for change initiatives and new business activities, assessing impacts and priorities.
  • Enhance processes, controls, and modeling approaches to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Qualified Actuary (FIA/FFA) or Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA); CFA qualification is advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS 17, IFRS 9, and Solvency II/Solvency UK (including Matching Adjustment).
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, or business performance analysis within financial services.
  • Advanced Excel skills and interest in tools like Power BI, Power Query, or Anaplan.
  • Ability to translate technical analysis into meaningful business insights for stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.
