Paint Specialist (USV)

Location: Blue Ops, Valdosta, Georgia, United States. The role involves working in large indoor and outdoor production facilities and requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residence for ITAR/EAR-controlled work.

What you will do

• Apply epoxy-based paint and, when required, gelcoat from surface preparation through final finishing in a controlled paint environment.
• Repair damaged or in-process unmanned surface vehicles and complete final-finish work.
• Manage and maintain critical painting equipment, including the automated paint system cell and controls.
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE correctly, and manage material handling and chemical storage.
• Complete in-station process control documentation and report malfunctions, discrepancies, and quality issues.
• Participate in design reviews, prototyping, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in boat finishing, automotive painting, or a similar environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and follow critical finishing processes.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ISO 9001, and manufacturing management practices.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently.
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence and must not require sponsorship for export-restricted work authorization.
