Electronics Technician Security Systems (Road Warrior): Installing, upgrading, and maintaining physical access control systems (PACS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), and IP video surveillance at electrical substations across Western US states with an accent on Lenel hardware/software and compliance with DoD/DoS guidelines. Focus on troubleshooting electronics, interpreting schematics, wiring per NEC standards, and performing on-site testing under high-travel conditions.

Location: Onsite based in Denver, CO initially, then Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix, AZ; 75-90% travel required (road warrior, including weekends)

Salary: $33.09 per hour + $4.93 Health & Welfare per hour + OT if approved + per diem

What you will do

• Install, upgrade, and migrate physical security infrastructure including PACS, IDS, IP CCTV, and other electronic systems at substations.
• Read, interpret, and draw electrical/electronic schematics and blueprints; follow NEC wiring guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain security wiring, power circuits using tools like multimeters and cable testers.
• Work independently or in small teams on federal projects across AZ, CA, NV, CO, NE, WY.
• Perform conduit installation, low-voltage electrical work, and prepare site test documentation.

Requirements

• US Citizen able to obtain and maintain customer clearance (local/national background check)
• Current valid Driver’s License; drive company vehicles
• 2+ years hands-on with Lenel hardware/software installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
• 2+ years with IDS, PACS, IP video surveillance, and other security systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; military electronics training or 5+ years technical experience.
• Experience with CCTV, security cameras, intercoms, mass notification, low-voltage systems.
• Proficient with test equipment, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat; strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, stoop; work in demanding environments with 75%+ travel.
