Field Service Technician (Level 2 or 3)

TL;DR

Field Service Technician (Level 2 or 3): Hands-on installation, modification, and basic commissioning of LV/MV electrical switchgear components and subassemblies in data centers and industrial applications with an accent on troubleshooting electrical circuits and networking equipment. Focus on performing testing, preventive maintenance, field modifications, and coordinating solutions for product issues.

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Ability to travel 75%, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary: $36.30–$52.80 per hour

What you will do

• Install and modify electrical or mechanical components like panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bars, switchgear, and control wiring.
• Perform basic testing (visual, ductor) and commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and networking equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, clients, and manufacturing to resolve field issues and source parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and field installations/modifications on existing equipment.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical product support.

Requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent + 8+ years in manufacturing, data center, or field service; LV/MV electrical switchgear commissioning experience required for Level 3.
• Experience with switchgear and electrical controls systems (required for Level 3).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams (required for Level 3).
• Strong communication skills, team player, ability to work independently.
• 75% travel willingness, including evenings/weekends.
