What you will do
- Support and manage FERC relicensing, license amendments, and dam removal permitting.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams from initiation through closeout.
- Prepare permit applications, technical reports, and annual compliance filings.
- Liaise with federal, state, and local agencies including FERC and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
- Schedule and lead agency, stakeholder, and public meetings.
- Mentor junior staff to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in dam, hydropower, or environmental permitting.
- Demonstrated expertise with FERC licensing and compliance.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
- Proficiency in technical writing and analyzing government regulations.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting NEPA, ESA, Section 401/404 permitting, or Section 106 consultation.
- Knowledge of FERC Integrated Licensing Process (ILP), Traditional Licensing Process (TLP), or ALP.
- Experience with dam rehabilitation or other energy infrastructure projects.
