TL;DR

Salary: $172,500–$207,000 per year

What you will do

  • Support and manage FERC relicensing, license amendments, and dam removal permitting.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams from initiation through closeout.
  • Prepare permit applications, technical reports, and annual compliance filings.
  • Liaise with federal, state, and local agencies including FERC and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Schedule and lead agency, stakeholder, and public meetings.
  • Mentor junior staff to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in dam, hydropower, or environmental permitting.
  • Demonstrated expertise with FERC licensing and compliance.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
  • Proficiency in technical writing and analyzing government regulations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting NEPA, ESA, Section 401/404 permitting, or Section 106 consultation.
  • Knowledge of FERC Integrated Licensing Process (ILP), Traditional Licensing Process (TLP), or ALP.
  • Experience with dam rehabilitation or other energy infrastructure projects.
