What you will do

• Lead design, analysis, and validation of medium voltage products like metal clad/enclosed switchgear.
• Manage and mentor engineers/designers, track timelines, ensure quality and on-time delivery for NPI projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to address issues, conduct peer reviews, and improve design processes.
• Develop mechanical designs meeting project requirements, standards, and manufacturability.
• Facilitate communication across design, manufacturing, and operations teams for optimized workflows.
• Foster innovation, resolve conflicts, and train team on SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (MSME preferred), 10+ years in R&D/product development in power distribution
• Experience leading projects, medium voltage systems (electrical/thermal/mechanical), leadership/mentoring
• Proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD, sheet metal design, analytical/problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of IEEE/ANSI standards, CSA, EEMAC, NFPA70E desirable
• Strong communication, ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment
• Experience in design-to-order/custom engineering strongly preferred

Nice to have

• Familiarity with low voltage switchgear, panelboards, utility systems
• CFD or FEA experience
