TL;DR
Director of Sales (AI): Building and scaling a repeatable revenue engine for an open-source AI agent platform with an accent on enterprise sales and AE team leadership. Focus on converting open-source momentum into high-ACV contracts and developing a scalable sales playbook from scratch.
Location: Remote-first (USA), with a presence in Seattle, WA

is an open-source platform for connecting AI Agents with user-facing applications, currently used by startups and Fortune 100 companies.
What you will do
- Carry a personal quota for strategic accounts ($2-3M ARR) while owning team attainment of $7M+ ARR.
- Hire, onboard, and coach a team of 2–4 Enterprise AEs.
- Lead complex end-to-end enterprise deals with $150K+ ACV involving engineering, security, and finance stakeholders.
- Partner with Forward-Deployed Engineers to scale the quality of technical POCs.
- Sharpen the ICP, pricing, packaging, and the open-source-to-enterprise conversion motion.
- Integrate customer feedback directly into product and positioning via weekly reviews with the founder.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years in technology sales, with 2+ years of management experience in developer infrastructure, security, or adjacent engineering tools.
- Proven track record of personally closing $100K to 250K+ ACV enterprise deals for engineering buyers.
- Experience in high-growth startups (Series A/B/C) and a strong preference for those allergic to bureaucracy.
- Technical fluency to earn credibility with technical buyers and follow complex engineering conversations.
- Rigorous forecast discipline and a high bar for hiring and performance management.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and enthusiasm for building the sales playbook from zero.
Nice to have
- Experience scaling sales in open-source or product-led growth (PLG) companies.
- Working knowledge of the agentic AI stack, including middleware and orchestration frameworks.
- Background in selling and managing within Fortune 500 engineering organizations.
- Prior experience as a Sales Engineer or in Solutions architecture.
