What you will do

• Run the monthly close end-to-end, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Design and document accounting policies, internal controls, and workflows from the ground up.
• Lead the full order-to-cash cycle, partnering with Sales and Customer Success.
• Evaluate, select, and implement a scalable ERP system.
• Identify and adopt AI-powered finance tools to eliminate manual work.
• Manage audit readiness, create workpapers, and coordinate with external auditors.

Requirements

• 10–16 years of relevant experience; Big 4 or national firm experience is strongly preferred.
• Solid foundation in GAAP and revenue recognition.
• Fluency with ERP systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks.
• Must be based in San Francisco for a hybrid work arrangement.
• Proven builder mindset with the ability to create processes from scratch in a startup environment.
• Strong communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
