Accounting Manager

Location: San Francisco, United States

Base salary: $90,000–$160,000 per year, with potential stock options.

What you will do

• Partner with the VP of Finance to improve accounting operations, transparency, and efficiency.
• Manage general accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare consolidated account schedules, quarterly reporting packages, financial analyses, and key performance indicators.
• Manage revenue accounting and gross-to-net models, including forecasted projections.
• Support annual audits, quarterly reviews, payroll reporting, and local and federal tax filings.
• Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements and automation to improve accuracy and reduce close time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably at a Big Four accounting firm.
• Strong financial analysis skills and a deep understanding of accounting concepts.
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas.
• CPA certification is preferred.
