What you will do
- Oversee daily boiler operations to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and train a team of operators and maintenance technicians.
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance practices to reduce unscheduled downtime and machine failures.
- Manage department labor and materials expenses, including budget generation and cost tracking for machine overhauls.
- Identify capital opportunities to prevent obsolescence and improve machine output.
- Ensure strict compliance with Industrial Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- Current 3rd class Maine stationary steam engineers license.
- 8-10 years of applicable experience in a large industrial manufacturing company.
- Relevant engineering experience in mechanical, power plant, or industrial domains.
- Prior experience with project management, budgeting, and supervision of hourly and salaried personnel.
- BSME or BSMET degree is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in environments with heat, cold, dust, and noise.
