What you will do

• Oversee daily boiler operations to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and train a team of operators and maintenance technicians.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance practices to reduce unscheduled downtime and machine failures.
• Manage department labor and materials expenses, including budget generation and cost tracking for machine overhauls.
• Identify capital opportunities to prevent obsolescence and improve machine output.
• Ensure strict compliance with Industrial Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

• Current 3rd class Maine stationary steam engineers license.
• 8-10 years of applicable experience in a large industrial manufacturing company.
• Relevant engineering experience in mechanical, power plant, or industrial domains.
• Prior experience with project management, budgeting, and supervision of hourly and salaried personnel.
• BSME or BSMET degree is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in environments with heat, cold, dust, and noise.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30 certification.
