What you will do

• Operate and inspect power plant systems and boilers used for waste processing and power generation.
• Monitor auxiliary equipment including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, and conveyor systems.
• Perform hourly logs of operational equipment status and report malfunctions or trends to supervisors.
• Correct abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations to maintain facility safety.
• Manage refuse-fuel levels and ensure appropriate fuel mix in designated pits and areas.
• Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat procedures regarding material storage and handling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in West Palm Beach, FL.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with high pressure boilers and electric generating equipment.
• English: Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs, climb, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Capacity to wear a full-face respirator and work in various weather conditions.
