TL;DR
Collection & Recovery Support Specialist (Finance): Manage collections, recovery, and portfolio processes across Loss Management and Loan Loss Recovery teams with an accent on compliance, system transitions, and account accuracy. Focus on processing charge-offs, supporting loan modifications, balancing ledgers, and resolving discrepancies to protect financial well-being.
Location: Hybrid role requiring 2–3 days per week in Tukwila, WA headquarters office, with occasional additional on-site needs
Target Pay Range: $26.35-$32.12 hourly (full range $21.65-$38.03 hourly)

What you will do
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, compliance, and information security standards.
- Process system updates, transactions for charge-offs, and involuntary account closures.
- Support loan modifications partnering with Bankruptcy, Loss Management, and Member Assistance teams.
- Coordinate requests and communications for external debt management programs.
- Balance and reconcile general ledgers with Accounting, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle sensitive member information confidentially and respond to internal/external inquiries.
- Monitor department inboxes, process incoming mail, and support team operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience in collections, lending, or forced placed insurance.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy and ability to make recommendations.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
- Ability to work well under deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer service.
