TL;DR

Employee Experience Manager (HR Ops): Supporting day-to-day HR operations across Canada and US with an accent on compliance, payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee records management. Focus on maintaining regulatory compliance, handling onboarding/offboarding, and fostering positive employee experience through engagement initiatives.

Location: Remote from Canada (Calgary, AB; Montreal, QC; Ottawa, ON; Toronto, ON; Vancouver, BC); supports Canada and US employees; must have work authorization and reside in approved countries (Canada, US, Mexico, UK for some roles)

What you will do

  • Maintain employee records in HRIS systems for Canadian and US staff
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes including documentation and coordination
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws in Canada and US
  • Process payroll and manage benefits enrollments/changes across countries
  • Handle employee inquiries on policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Promote employee engagement and coordinate HR events

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Human Resources
  • Employee relations experience
  • Payroll and tax knowledge
  • Knowledge of HR practices including compliance, leave, benefits, and vendor management
  • Strong knowledge of Canada and US HR practices preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations

Nice to have

  • Strong knowledge of both CAN and US HR practices
