Principal Network Engineer III (Defense)

TL;DR

Principal Network Engineer III (Networking): Designing and deploying secure data center network infrastructure with an accent on SDN, firewalls, and load balancers. Focus on optimizing network performance, implementing security protocols, and automating provisioning via IaaS.

Location: On-site in Huntsville, AL, Pocatello, ID, or Clarksburg, WV. TS/SCI Clearance and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph are mandatory.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and certify network components including switches, firewalls, load balancers, and software-defined networking.
• Create and maintain infrastructure for bare-metal and virtual machines using NSX and SDN configurations.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive recovery processes.
• Develop custom scripts to automate address and VLAN provisioning via Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Provide 4th level support and maintain rigorous technical documentation, including inventory and patch levels.
• Train government staff on technology usage following industry best practices.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI Clearance with the capability of obtaining a CI Polygraph.
• Cisco CCNA certification (Cisco CCNP or similar preferred).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the design, implementation, and support of data center network infrastructure.
• Experience with Cisco ACI is preferred.
• Ability to occasionally lift 50+ lbs in teams.
