What you will do

• Oversee quality control inspection, testing, and compliance for roll covers produced in-house and by outside vendors.
• Maintain system documentation of Quality Control procedures using SPIs, ISO documentation, and quality audits.
• Inspect all rolls prior to shipment to ensure adherence to QC guidelines and verify outgoing paperwork.
• Perform monthly internal quality audits for Covering and Millroom operations.
• Develop and maintain certification programs for the internal training of employees and vendors.
• Report quality status and issues to the Regional Quality Manager and Plant Manager.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical field preferred, or 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Griffin, GA.
• Solid knowledge of formal quality systems such as ISO, QIT, or TQM.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and work in both machine shop and office settings.
