CNC Machinist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Operate 3-axis CNC mills and manage CAM programming and setup.
• Interpret engineering blueprints to produce components according to exact aerospace specifications.
• Spec and purchase new machinery and cutting tools for the facility.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to solve machining challenges and improve process efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on CNC milling best practices.
• Manage production data and CAM files.

Requirements

• US Citizenship, Green Card, or ITAR eligibility is required.
• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining, specifically in prototyping and one-off production.
• 2+ years of experience with CAM software and 3-axis mill programming.
• Proven experience with aerospace standards such as AS9100D or ISO 9001.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Must be based onsite in El Segundo, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with drone manufacturing or aerospace flight hardware.
• Proficiency in CNC Lathe setup and operation.
• Experience with hand fabrication and conventional milling/lathe.
• CAD experience, preferably with SolidWorks for fixturing design.
