Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician (Aerospace)

Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician (Aerospace): Assemble, test, and rework electro-mechanical hardware including batteries, reaction wheels, and flight computers with an accent on precision manufacturing procedures, functional testing, and environmental testing. Focus on troubleshooting hardware issues, operating thermal chambers, and providing process improvement feedback in a cleanroom environment.

Location: Onsite in Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations.

Hourly pay: $38–$48 + equity

What you will do

• Assemble, test, and rework electro-mechanical hardware like batteries, reaction wheels, and flight computers following MES procedures.
• Fabricate and terminate small harnesses within assemblies.
• Support functional, environmental testing, and troubleshooting.
• Set up, operate, and monitor thermal chambers during cycles.
• Integrate components onto satellite bus and practice 5S workspace organization.
• Provide process improvement feedback to engineering and production leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years assembling, integrating, and testing flight hardware in aerospace.
• Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and shop floor software.
• High ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, clean rooms, and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, interpret tolerances including GD&T, and electrical schematics.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) per ITAR.
