TL;DR

Construction Manager (Power Generation): Coordinating the installation of combustion turbine generators at a brownfield power plant with an accent on schedule compliance, safety, and quality control. Focus on monitoring contractor productivity, managing CPM schedules, and ensuring successful handover of start-up packages.

Location: Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Clifton, Kansas, US. Relocation not eligible.

What you will do

  • Monitor contractor activities for compliance with CPM schedules and contract requirements.
  • Report on construction productivity and schedule performance to the Project Manager.
  • Manage project budget, schedule requirements, and contractor recovery plans.
  • Participate in Construction Completion Walkdowns and punch list close-outs.
  • Coordinate with Materials Manager to audit owner-supplied equipment storage.
  • Lead weekly contractor coordination meetings and review extra work authorizations.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of construction supervisory experience, including at least 3 years as a Construction Manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA Training certification.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches.
  • Physical capability to perform hard labor in extreme weather conditions and work at heights up to 5 feet.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of construction technology (Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle, Circulating Fluidized Bed, or Nuclear).
  • Strong knowledge of the EPC industry and constructability.
  • Proficiency in Construction Project Management Systems.
