TL;DR
Short-Form & VSL Video Editor: Editing short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) and long-form YouTube videos (talking head, tutorials, documentary-style) with an accent on hooks, pacing, retention, and conversion-driven editing. Focus on adding captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound design, color grading, and iterating based on feedback and performance data.
Location: Fully Remote (Guatemala, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Virtual). Collaborate with US-based team during US business hours (EST–PST).
Compensation: Starting at $1,500/month

What you will do
- Edit short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) for engagement and retention
- Edit long-form YouTube videos including talking head, tutorials, and documentary-style
- Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound design, and color grading
- Work from creative briefs and help shape them
- Collaborate with marketing team during US business hours
- Manage multiple projects with quick turnaround times and iterate on edits
Requirements
- Strong English communication required to clearly express thoughts and collaborate daily with US-based team
- 2+ years professional video editing experience (brands, agencies, or creators)
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools
- Strong portfolio of performing short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
- Solid understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, and conversion-driven editing
- Reliable internet and capable editing setup
- Self-motivated, organized, comfortable working remotely
Nice to have
- Experience with AI video tools (SORA, Kling, Runway)
- Graphic design skills (thumbnails, social assets, lower thirds)
- Podcast editing experience
