What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive package designs meeting performance, reliability, and manufacturability standards.
• Define electrical, thermal, and mechanical package requirements in cooperation with Design and layout teams.
• Perform physical design, electrical simulation, and manufacturing validation using AutoCAD, GDS, Siemens Fast3D, and Cadence SiP Layout.
• Establish and maintain design rules for WLCSP, wire bond, and other package technologies.
• Implement DFM checks and modifications to improve assembly yield and prevent manufacturing issues.
• Develop test vehicles to assess bump placement, PCB proximity effects, and RDL stack-up.

Requirements

• BS or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience in a packaging-related field.
• Proficiency with Cadence SiP layout and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of packaging technologies, materials, and assembly rules.
• Understanding of electrical simulation results on package design.
• Must be based within commutable distance of Edinburgh, UK, or willing to relocate

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens Xpedition, Allegro PCB, or Cadence Virtuoso.
• Skills in electrical simulation and use of Siemens Fast 3D or Calibre DRV.
