What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5 engineers, fostering clarity, execution habits, and healthy culture.
• Own the roadmap and delivery for core areas like performance, scaling, I/O optimization, integrations, developer experience, and observability.
• Partner with adjacent teams and product domains to turn needs into platform capabilities and adoption paths.
• Guide architectural and technical decisions for runtime and APIs, balancing reliability, simplicity, and extensibility.
• Improve operational excellence, reliability, debuggability, and support for production workloads.
• Shape the platform's future through hiring, prioritization, cross-team alignment, and leadership.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years as engineering manager leading and growing teams in fast-paced environments
• At least 5+ years in backend, infrastructure, product, or platform engineering with strong technical judgment on distributed systems or runtime platforms
• Ability to turn platform vision into priorities, execution plans, and reliable delivery.
• Experience working across boundaries with engineering, product, and platform stakeholders.
• Strong people leadership skills for coaching, clarity, and high-performing team culture.
• High standards for engineering quality, reliability, and operational excellence in production.
