What you will do

• Track assigned accounts to identify and recover outstanding debts
• Contact debtors via heavy phone activity to discuss payment status
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans and handle complaints
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts
• Update account status and database regularly
• Alert supervisors on customers unwilling or unable to pay and comply with legal actions if needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2+ years' collections experience
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally to meet collections goals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and intranet/internet

Nice to have

• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with SAP and AS400
